He's no where near the best but he's still good, better then Shia LaBeouf, Mr. Transformer 3 is the best movie

Mark I didn't say it was "the best", i said it was ONE of my favorites, and Shia Labeouf is pretty good for being his age. I can't think of many good actors his age.

Black Hawk Down A really good war film, it's action most of the way through, so there is very little time for character development and what not. But it was very entertaining and realistic. I really liked it, it's probably one of the most realistic war movies, due to the fact that the majority of them paint war as a fun and not at all dangerous place. 8.5/10
Saving Private Ryan Another great war movie. The action was great when it was there, great acting (even by Vin Diesel (this is probably his best movie)) cinematography, score. 9.5/10

Platoon: Unfortunatly you guys cant watch this movie anymore, coz Charlie Sheen is the main character, and after the recent events its hard to look at him play a purely serious role. The Movie itself is awesome, really quotable and has an amazing soundtrack. 9/10

300 Pretty good, i expected just to be a crappy cgi full movie. it was full of cgi but it was actually quite good. If you don't like action it's not for you. 7/10
Scott Pilgrim vs the World This movie was so much fun to watch. The acting was a lot better then i thought, the soundtrack was VERY GOOD the story is not to be taken seriously (except if you only take the relationship part which was quite good) and they knew that, which made it all the better. And all the video game references just made it better 8.5/10
Thor It was good. Not up to iorn man, dark night, but it's better then X-3. Chris Hemsworth was very good as Thor, I've never seen him in any movies so i had no idea what to expect. Natalie Portman was good in her role but there relationship was too rushed, they had the chemistry but it was too rushed to feel real. But everything else was really good; story, overall acting, action. the script was lacking but this isn't meant to be an oscar movie and I'm just nit picking now. It was fun, good and oddly funny, they knew the kind of humor that would work and use it, while it occasionally felt out of place it didn't jump the gun like transformers. 7.5/10

500 days of summer Probably one of the few good romantic comedies. However it's better then good, it's great. The story is thought out, the way its told is unique. The cinematography is amazing, there's one scene where they show Tom's (the main guy) expectation vs the reality of an event side by side, it just looked so good. The acting was phenomenal, Joseph Gordon-Levit was amazing, as well as Zooey Decshanel. And the soundtrack was really really good as well, every song matched and nothing felt out of place. It's the best of it's kind and for that it deserves a 10/10

Wtf.... lol This move felt very fake, like a wannabe indie movie. A lot of the story just didn't seem real for me, but that is probably because I can't get personal with a lot of movies.

X-men First Class This was the best x-men movie yet, which is saying something cause 1 and 2 were awesome. The relationship between magneto and Prof. X was so good and felt very real, Micheal Fassbender was perfect as magneto. The writing was actually good and the cinematography and cgi was phenomenal. This is up there with iron man, batman begins and dark night as one of the top super hero movies. 10/10
Casino Royal This is the only bond movie I've seen so far, and yea I know I'm missing out on a lot. This was an amazing movie. Daniel Craig fit the role perfectly, it felt like what I imagined Bond movies would be like, it was perfect, the action was very good, the suspense was riveting and kept you on the edge of your seat. It was a great movie. 10/10
Life in a Day I heard about this idea when they told people to start recording but I never gave it any thought, when I watched it however that totally changed my mind. People were told that on July 24 ,2010 they are to record there day and post it on YouTube. And that's all it is, after getting over 4500 hours of video they siphoned through it and edited into a 90 min documentary. It was beautiful, you get to see the lives of people all over the world, you see how they start there day and how it plays out. It's such a simple premise but it was played out perfectly it very simple to watch, it's YouTube it's self just go to the "lifeinaday" channel and it's right there. K I'll make it even easier, here's a link https://www.youtube.com/user/lifeinaday 9/10

1. You don't watch movies unless they are on tv? That's your first problem 2. I've never seen or heard of these movies, but that might just be me, but from what I saw they should not be more then a 7/10. How do you decide on what makes a movie good, I'm just curious as to what made these such phenomenal movies. 3. If everyone is using a 10 point scale why would you defile such organization with your 100 point scale. Who on earth would use an 100 point scale (other then rotten tomatoes)

My responses to your statements:
1.) The DVD player for the TV is broken. We're getting a new one eventually. 2.) That's your opinion. I put them at the max because they're ridiculously funny! 3.) I put them on a 100 point scale instead of a 10 point scale because they're so awesome that 10 points is not enough.

Arthur Christmas This movie was such a wonderful surprise. It was actually really funny the entire theater was laughing out load the whole movie through. It was very smart British comedy. The animation was very well done, and the voice acting was top notch. The story was really sweet too. It was about a girl who didn't get her Christmas present, due to the rush and over commercialism of Christmas now. The star of this movie was the grandpa. Grandpa santa was the highlight of this movie. I would recommend this movie, for anyone who likes Christmas movies, cartoon movies, or just like to laugh. 9.75/10

Ok so I haven't updated this for a while so here goes
Drive This is a very unique movie, the trailer makes it out to be a fast and furious type movie but o boy was it far from that. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. It is a artsy movie, with character development and generally slow movies so oreo, not for you. It looked beautiful and it was amazingly directed. You can see Nicolas Winding Refn (thank God for imdb [hes the directer]) throughout this entire movie, he has such a unique style and it works really well with Ryan Goslings performance. Ryan Goslings played a man of few words but he played it amazingly. Carey Mulligan was good and Albert Brooks was a great villain, and oh if your a breaking bad fan Bryan Cranston (Walter White) is in it too. This movie started out intense, slowed down a bit but then it turned gruesome it was a great movie and it loved it. 10/10
50/50 The cancer movie. It was really really good, you were able buy that Joseph Gordon-Levitt had cancer, he was great in it. It was well written and well paced. It made it seem that it was a just the life of a guy with cancer. Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick were both really good. It was over all a great movie. 9/10
Midnight in Paris This is the first Woody Allen movie I have seen, and it was great. It was amazingly written, I loved the screenplay. It was such a great and relevant idea. It was Owen Wilson's best performance. Rachel McAdams and Kurt Fuller were also really good. It was very well done done and well directed. The cinematography was great to highlight modern and old paris. 9.5/10
I still have a bunch more to do just not right now I'm too lazy

So i saw Paranormal Activity 3 the other day The first one is still my favorite, and i liked this one more then the 2nd The scares in these movies arent really about the payoff, its about the build up, the fear you feel before you see whatever it is you should be afraid of, even if what you should be afraid of turns out to be nothing Usually the payoff is less effective then the buildup even when it turns out to be something (at least for me) Overall it wasnt bad, i just wish this series didnt have 3+ movies, one was enough
Spoiler:
The camera on the oscillating fan was genius Having the camera slowly pan back and forth allowed a lot of tension to be built, and made you dread what it would pan over too The rest of the scares werent that great, especially at the end when he very very slowly walked over to the girl, it felt like it was trying to build tension but just failed
As for the story, the end feels like a cliff hanger The second and first movie both felt like the end was a true ending But this feels like set up for a 4th movie, which really annoys me Honestly this movie really didnt explain anything The only thing that was revealed is that the grandmother was part of a cult, which wasnt surprising, and that was revealed in the last 10 mins So now theres going to be another sequel, which probably wont explain anything either
Thats why i think one movie where it wasnt explained was enough, because now they are trying to explain it and it will most likely end up being disappointing or just fail to explain it at all

i will never understand how or why people like scary movies they suuuuccckkkkk welp now that ive proved that imma move on
The Guard: so a serious comedy is something where there aren't any outright jokes but its funny in spite of that. and this movie was really fucking funny. its got a fat smartass of an english policeman as the main character and you kinda have to love him after the first 5 minutes.
Spoiler:
the very first scene follows some teenager pricks doing drugs in a car. they speed past a cop car and the camera switches over to his perspective. you hear the kids car flip over and crash all while the cop doesnt bat an eyelash. eventually he rolls his eyes and goes over. he pickpockets one of the kids, finds a drug bag, tosses out some white powdery stuff and then pops a tab of their LSD
9/10
Drive: I liked marks description of it but i hate completely agreeing with mark so 8/10
Snatch.: OMG MOVIE IS SO EPICC, WATCH IT, WATCH ITTTT. The begining is pretty slow though, but after like 30 mins in it gets good, then better then OMFG. 10/10

Alright so I got at the movies theater so I get a free movie every week. Thought I would add to this.
Chronicle
A found footage, super hero movie. I usually hate found footage movies but this one was great. Basically a bunch of high school get super powers and are thus able to move things with there mind. The way they used the hand-held camera was genius; for example they were able to fly and thus they make the camera fly with them. The end was really epic, and the CGI was amazing considering it's fairly low-budget, I think. I had a really good time watching it. 7.5/10
John Carter
It was ok. High budget, but everything about it was just at par, nothing really to say other then that it's getting an unreasonable amount of hate 6.5/10
Hunger Games
So I'm a big fan of the books so I had high expectations going into it. I'm happy to say that the movie was really good. Jennifer Lawrence was amazing as Katniss Everdeen. Her and Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman were easily the best parts of this movie. The story was very loyal to the book, however I thought that the relationship between Katniss and Peeta was too rushed. The main flaw to this movie was the cinematography. There was an unnecessary amount of shakey cam during all the action scenes, which took away far too much of it, and there was no blood. I understand that the studio wanted it PG-13 but it's basically an R rated book. The amount of violence in the book is surprising. K I'm stopping here, I can talk about this for a while 8.5/10
American Reunion
It started off slow, but it gained speed and got really funny. I laughed a lot, but most of the cast lack of acting talent starts to show now that they're older. The highlights to this movie were Stifler and Jim's Dad. They were the main source of comedy the entire movie through. 7.5/10
21 Jump Street
This movie was HILARIOUS. I laughed the entire way through. The acting was great, and I was so surprised to find that Channing Tatum as actually funny in it (I thought he would just be annoying). I don't want to say much other then that the movie was great all the way though 9/10
The Raid: Redemption
Alright so this movie was frikken awesome. That's all that can be said. It's an Indonesian movie, but don't let that turn you away. The first 2-3 minutes is talking, the rest is relentless action. It was awesome in every sense of the word. 10/10
Cabin in the Woods
I purposely didn't put a trailer for this because I recommend going in, knowing nothing about it. I thought this was going to be a crappy slasher dumb collage kids being dumb type movies, so I had no plan to watch it. But then I saw the Joss Wedon wrote it. I know something wasn't normal about it. From the first conversation you can tell that it's going to be a different movie. It's just his type of writing and it flows so well. I won't say anything about this other then you must watch it, and don't search anything about it because the slightest of spoilers will ruin it for you. 9/10
The Avengers
So whoever isn't looking forward to this, is a moron. This movie meets and surpasses every exception I had. I don't want to say anything because I was want you to experience it on your own (and I'm tiered) All I'm going to say is it is epic on so many levels. 10/10

I saw this and thought it was ok Id give it like a 6/10 The effects were pretty good though, and i did like the camera angles that were possible like you said
The problem i have with found footage movies is that the footage needs to be able to be found and a lot of movies make it so that recovering the camera or the video from the camera would be nearly impossible or impracticable This movie does that twice, but thinking back i cant think of any found footage movie other then maybe cloverfield that doesnt do that
Spoiler:
The first time is with that first camera he had, the big one, they said they left it in the hole and then the hole collapsed so in order for that footage to be found someone would have had to dig tons of dirt out to get to it, and the only people that would dig there would be government so that footage would be classified and not able to be edited as it was The 2nd time is at the end in tibet, he left it in way out in front of the monastery, the only people that might find it are the monks and i doubt they would send the footage to someone that would edit it
But thats not why i gave this a 6/10 It felt like a lot of potential was wasted with the powers
Spoiler:
Like they set it up that they could put up a barrier around their skin when they know they are about to get hit by something to block it completely and yet they only actually used it once with the bus And until the end the powers were used for petty things like popularity or pranks, even toward the end he only robs a gas station, i thought he would rob a bank, take some hostages, tear them apart like he did with the bug, or at least something bigger then a little gas station
