imma do a top 5 but post as many as you think merit it. ill do openings for anime without their own thread
5. aldnoah.zero
similar to code geass in why its good/cool, but it has trouble staying motivated / sane towards the end
4. no game no life thread i loved this show but i dont think youd have 5 episodes without all the fan service
3. terror in resonance thread amazing animation and music, good plot, good characters idk if i still agree with myself that the conclusion was lacking, but, either way, this definitely deserves a spot on this list
2. black butler book of circus
i love the op for this one the first two seasons of this show were somewhere between mediocre and good. this season is a stand-alone by a different studio. it does reference / draw on some plot points of the original so if you need to watch in order id recommend doing season 1 and then book of circus and then decide if season 2 is worth it. otherwise just skip to this its way better, in virtually every way, and goes places anime doesnt usually go
1. im going to cheat and do a tie b/c thats what i always do for #1 im also choosing 2 shows that havent ended yet (but are about to) so this may be a bad idea
selector infected/spread wixoss thread i probably shouldnt have put this at #1 since ive been less into the last few eps, but i still will. this show provides a full dose of the crazy kind of awesome. its cliffhangers are worse than attack on titans though, so dont expect to stop watching if it at all clicks with you
parasyte
really cool premise, great plot, great characters, funny, sad, interesting all around just a great original-ish anime and if you havent watched it you should. everyone here will at least like it
almost made its:
log horizon -- very good when its good, but then NOTHING fucking happens for like 4 episodes and youre just like "why am i watching this shit" and then finally theres an amazing ep that keeps you hooked
sword art online -- what a disappointment. if you forget about the first half of the first season its still pretty good, but always theres what could have been on the other hand, the most recent arc has been the best since then so maybe there's hope
mushishi -- so pretty, very relaxing, just not memorable, interesting or profound enough to be exceptional (its the kind of show where thats what it would take)
