I will definatly give madoka magica puella or w/e its called a second chance.

I interpreted it piece by piece like this
"Gekijouban Steins Gate" 2nd science ADV series published next spring! The steins gate movie is coming out next spring! Scenario is completely original. The story is completely new. Is a specification that can not be recommended for people who recap of the TV series, not the least, do not know It is not a recap of the anime and cant be recommended for people who dont know anything in the least about steins gate is Shutage (● ° v `) ノ ??????? (japanese emoticon)
For that last part i looked up what "Shutage" is and its like a convention that is held in Akihabara which is the town steins gate takes place in At last years Shutage many many people came dressed as steins gate characters so im guessing there might be a joke about that in there somewhere, judging from the emoticon he used but it just got horribly translated But i dont think its important to understand what is being said
I ended up finding this a bit later: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-10-07/steins-gate-film-titled-slated-for-spring So its definitely the same characters and continues the story from episode 24 since that is how the true end of the game is I really hope that they continue it from the OVA though, since the stuff at the end of that episode feels like it should be part of the main story I guess they could just redo that part for the movie but i think the OVA got it right

I just re-found these forums, so I guess I'll give my top 10!
10. Ghost-hound
Summary: This world we live in, the "Apparent World" had another counterpart since long before the cyber age. From ancient times, people referred to it as the "Unseen World." Taro, Makoto and Masayuki are three junior high school boys who live in Suiten, a small town in a remote region of Northern Kyushu. Each one experienced a trauma in their childhood they could not erase. Because of this, or of other reasons, they all learned to traverse to the Unseen World, by slipping their souls. Ghosts dwelling in the Unseen World, did never manifest in the Apparent World. However, the Unseen World was going through an adverse change. And now, that change is starting to extend into the Apparent World...
This anime is much more of a personal favorite. I just enjoy mysterious animes sometimes when done correctly. The show does move kinda slow, so it's not for the impatient, but I always found it to make it in the end and come out with a really good explanation of the storyline after every episode.
9. Fate Stay Night
Summary: Shirou Emiya lost his parents in a fire when he was young and was later adopted by a sorceror by the name of Kiritsugu Emiya. Although he was full of admiration for his adopted father and yearns to become an ally of justice, Shirou has limited powers and was unable to become a strong sorceror like his father. That is until one fateful day, he was drawn into the Holy Grail War and had to summon a female "Servant" known as Saber in order to protect himself. It turns out that the Holy Grail War involves a series of battles among powerful sorcerors to fight for the possession of a relic that will grant one's wishes, the Holy Grail. There are altogether seven "Masters" who can summon their respective "Servants" from different classes known as Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster and Assasin. These "Servants" have to hide their names in order not to reveal their weaknesses to the enemies. The story revolves around Shirou and his entanglement in the Holy Grail War.
This anime was pretty fantastic. It's a fighting anime with a pretty interesting storyline that intrigued me personally. It's so low on my list because I just couldn't really get into how the characters communicated and how much filler time there seemed to be, but it was an overall good anime and I was happy to have watched it.
8. Blassreiter
Summary: Faced with an outbreak of demonic blood, which transforms humans into insane and hideous creatures bent on violence and death, only one man can stand against the tide of destruction. Joseph Jobson, the only man able to control his cursed demonic form, must hunt down the man who cursed him and save the world from apocalypse.
This was one of the first animes I ever watched, and it was pretty mind blowing. The zombie-apocolypse idea put into demonic form was interesting in itself, and it just proved to be one of the most back-to-back action animes I ever watched. The pacing was very fast and it is good for any addrenaline junkie I suppose. But then again I haven't seen it for a long long time and it could have just been the first-impression it made on me.
7. Wolf's Rain
Summary: In some distant future, it's common knowledge that all wolves have been extinct for 200 years. However, it seems this is false as wolves have not disappeared but rather have taken human form. Kiba, a lone wolf, wanders into a city, trying to sniff out the Lunar Flowers that are supposed to lead whoever follows the scent to paradise. The source of the smell is Cheza, a girl who sleeps in what appears to be suspended animation in a lab. She and the wolves are drawn to each other, and Kiba hopes to find paradise once he finds the source of the scent of Lunar Flowers. However, once Kiba finds Cheza, she is kidnapped by a mysterious person called Darcia, and his search begins anew. Before he leaves the city, he meets 3 other wolves, Tsume, Hige and Toboe. All four wolves have very different personalities and ideas, and their friendliness towards each other is a little rough around the edges. However, they soon band together to continue to search for paradise.
Personally I loved this anime. It's hard to come across really good animes that aren't action packed, and I think this is one of them. The fact that this anime is from the perspective of wolves and their travels really made it an interesting one. Although only 30 episodes long, the series felt like an eternity to me. Although most people think that's just because it's slow-paced, I really just go lost in the world of this one and it just kept throwing information at me that it just seemingly took longer then it did I suppose.
6. Ga-Rei Zero
Summary: The Japanese Ministry of Defense has an anti-paranormal special forces group called the Paranormal Disaster Countermeasure Headquarters. They're the ones responsible to protect Japanese soil and its people from supernatural and paranormal events. However, things didn't go so well in one of their missions, which leads to intervention by the Ministry of Enviroment's Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division after the PDCH has sustained large numbers of casualties battling demons.
This anime was one of the stranger ones. There's always that one insanely supernatural anime that everyone watches and likes, and this is that one for me. I'm not sure if it's really well-known or not, but when I came across it I started enjoying it immediately. The first episode basically starts with the end of the show, but it gives enough excitement and wonder to make you want to watch the rest.
5. Steins:Gate
Summary: Steins;Gate is set in the summer of 2010, approximately one year after the events that took place in Chaos;Head, in Akihabara. Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.
I saw Pat put this in his top 10, and I have to agree entirely. I actually cried at one point in this anime. I don't really know what else to say. It was that good.
4. Death Note
Summary: Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. However, when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer, and a battle of wits, deception and logic ensues...
Everyone should know death note. I enjoyed it thoroughly, the plot line was just fantastically put together, and it was just good all around. Highly reccommended.
3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Summary: Two brothers lose their mother to an incurable disease. With the power of "alchemy", they use taboo knowledge to resurrect her. The process fails, and as a toll for using this type of alchemy, the older brother, Edward Elric loses his left leg while the younger brother, Alphonse Elric loses his entire body. To save his brother, Edward sacrifices his right arm and is able to affix his brother's soul to a suit of armor. With the help of a family friend, Edward receives metal limbs - "automail" - to replace his lost ones. With that, Edward vows to search for the Philosopher's Stone to return the brothers to their original bodies, even if it means becoming a "State Alchemist", one who uses his/her alchemy for the military.
Same with death note, everyone should know this series. I only put brotherhood because I actually was not the biggest fan of the other season, just because of how simple it seemed compared to brotherhood, but that could just be my opinion. This anime was fantastically fantastic and I recommend it.
2. Samurai Champloo
Summary: Mugen's a buck wild warrior - violent, thoughtless and womanizing. Jin is a vagrant ronin - mysterious, traditional, well-mannered and very strong as well. These two fiercely independent warriors can`t be any more different from one another, yet their paths cross when Fuu, a ditzy waitress, saves them from being executed when they are arrested after a violent swordfight. Fuu convinces the two vagrant young men to help her find a mysterious samurai "who smells of sunflowers." And their journey begins. This is a story about love, friendship and courage... NOT!
I can't describe how much I loved this anime. It was so damn fantastic, the humor in it is great, the main characters can never get along and it proceeds the story forward so well. The dialogue is always amazing, every episode is interesting, and it is about goddamn samurai's. I don't know what else to say. This anime has it all.
1. Darker Than Black (Season ½)
Summary: In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as "Hell's Gate" appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. Hei is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents, and along with his blind associate, Yin, works for one of the many rival agencies vying to unlock the mysteries of Hell's Gate.
Season 1:
Season 2:
Darker-than-black has to be my favorite anime of all time. I have rewatched this show 3 times, and every time I have just enjoyed it so goddamn much. The plot is so well put out, everything is explained throughout the story, not right away. It leaves mystery in, but it doesn't make you wonder what the fuck's going on. If I could rewatch this anime for the first time again, I would be one happy dude.

These were ok to me
Samurai Champloo is pretty good, it has a lot of funny parts and is interesting but im not really a fan of the time period that its set in, most of the time that doesnt effect the story, i remember an episode about baseball for example, so i still enjoyed it, it just didnt do anything that i thought was amazing
Wolf's Rain has started many arguments because i know a lot of people who absolutely love it, Sarah included, but i dont really get why people like it so much The plot is unnecessarily convoluted and is paced really poorly The story is good, the characters are good, and the setting is good, its just the way its all presented couldve been done a lot better I dont hate it, but i dont see the appeal that others see

Also i had to remove the links to the site where you could watch the shows from your post Its against forumotions (the forum's host) rules, i dont think they would do anything, but they could if it was there

The reason I loved this anime so much was mainly the character interaction. I find so many animes to have unrealistic character interaction that it gets to the point of just being ridiculous. While with Samurai Champloo the characters actually react how I would imagine two samurais of completely different cultures reacting. They hate each others guts, but promise to not kill each other until they help the main character find the man that smells of sunflowers, all over a goddamn coinflip, showing how honorable they really are. It just made me smile constantly, and it also made me be serious at times. I just found it to be an enjoyable show.

I can understand this, due to the fact that the plot does seem very poorly put together. That is why it is so low on my list. I mean I loved it completely though, just because it kind of gave anime a twist for me. I am definitely one that loves the stranger animes that don't follow along normal anime rules and guidelines, such as animes that theres always suspense over whether or not the "main character" is going to die or something. I just enjoy the outcasts I suppose
"I passed on watching both of these I dont remember why, i may have been watching something else at the time and then forgot about them I havent watched anime in awhile, when i do again ill probably start with Darker then black"
Please please do. I think starting out Darker than Black was maybe the hardest, due to the first 2 episodes literally having almost nothing to do with the rest of the story, and just being plot-setting episodes, but if you can actually get into it, the story just unravels so well in my opinion and I think you wouldn't regret it. (Fate stay night is also good, but as I said the character interactions are kinda annoying at times).
"Also i had to remove the links to the site where you could watch the shows from your post Its against forumotions (the forum's host) rules, i dont think they would do anything, but they could if it was there"
Sorry. I didn't know. Just wanted to make it easier for people! MY BAD! xD

I started watching Darker than Black, im on episode 4 Its pretty good, i really like the main character
Spoiler:
Hes not really what you would expect a character like him to be
My only complaint so far is
Spoiler:
The way the show gives the audience information Im fine with it giving info slowly and keeping the world mysterious, but there was 1 scene where 2 characters were talking about what a Moratorium is and 1 character was telling the other character things that both characters would already know, so the only reason they were having that conversation was to inform the audience about what a Moratorium was, and it was really obvious that was the only reason they were having that conversation It doesnt seem like theres going to be a character that doesnt know anything about this world so the only way for the show to tell the audience something is to have characters that already know these things talk to each other about them in a really unnatural way And theres so much in this world to explain that its probably going to happen a lot

I enjoy the main character a lot because of how secretive and mysterious he is. I think he makes for a very interesting character in this type of world, and everything you find out about him is basically speculation. Which kind of always keeps him as that interesting dude that no one knows anything about. On the other hand I can understand everything you said, but I honestly don't think it happens too frequently. It happens early on considering that there are a few key points, such as contractors, their obseince, and uhhh dolls I think? But yeah, after they become explained, the rest of the show is honestly not really related to it. You also might find that there is very little story in some of the episodes, but in the end everything ties together really nicely, and it's a really well done season. I want to say the second season is better, but I honestly can't say which is better. I thought that they performed extremely well on both.

So i finished watching all of darker than black I was disappointed in many things
Spoiler:
The way people turn into contractors is never explained At first i thought it was some sort of biological change because in season 1 you see the hell gate flower and all the powers they use can be explained by biological methods, but in the last episode of season 1 they say that Li's electric can change things at a quantum level and imply that he can turn people into contractors which is confirmed by Pai having turned Li into one and Li turning Suou into one in the 2nd season So it might be a biological change, it might not be, and i also thought that the person that becomes a contractor had to be in or near the gate, but season 2 shows thats not it either since Tanya becomes a contractor in russia hundreds of miles away from the gate Then in the OVAs they say contractors are people who couldnt become dolls, and that they are defects, up until that point i never questioned how dolls were made, i assumed they were manufactured humans using gate related technology created by PANDORA/government agencies/syndicate/criminal organizations for the purpose of spying on contractors/people with observer spirits and gathering info But apparently, according to the OVAs people become can dolls somehow (never explained and i cant even speculate) and those that fail to become dolls end up as contractors So the way people become a contractor is anyones guess, and the way dolls are made doesnt make sense
The reason for the syndicate's goal in season 1 made no sense The syndicate wanted to eliminate all contractos, but why did they want to eliminate them They had a pretty good control over some really powerful contractors, they had people in the highest of positions in various different governemnt agencies, what would they gain by killing all the contractors The only reason for why they would want to kill them that makes sense is because they are dangerous and they wanted to protect regular people from being hurt by them, but at no point is the syndicate made to look like they would want to help people like that If they had succeded in killing them all they would have less power and nothing to do In the OVAs its said that the syndicates overall goal was to prevent the events described in the mitaka documents from happening, so the goal of killing all contractors in season 1 was a way of doing that, but it wouldve made more sense and been much easier to just kill all the dolls
Season 2 made no sense If i understood everything properly the plot for season 2 is basically: Amber used her time power to see the future and write the mitaka documents In those documents its prophesied that when Izanami meets Izanagi the world will end or change Yin is Izanami and Suou is Izanagi Suou is a creation of Shion who has the power to create copies Yin is a doll that has evolved and has the power to force contractors to commit suicide which was given to her by some entity from beyond the gate that talks to her(which was in the OVAs but is relevant to season 2) Li and Suou are exposed to anit-gate particles that are generated from that anit-contractor disc weapon system, the meteor core does something or plays some sort of key part in taking Li's contractor status and giving it to Suou Shion creates a copy of the entire planet including every thing and every one on it Li comes into contact with Yin and does something to stop the world from ending -- Im left with so many questions that what they showed pretty much makes no sense What did Li do to stop Yin? Why did his star appear brighter then ever after doing whatever it was? Why did anti-gate particles transfer Li's contractor status to Suou when its explained that anit-gate particles destroy contractors? Why/how does an entity from beyond the gate contact Yin and why does it talk to her more when shes near Li? (that one is from the OVA, but its important to season 2) Why is Suou Izangi, what makes her special, is it because she is a copy/contractor, if thats the case then couldnt you take her power away in the same way Li lost his, would she still be Izanagi if you did? Why did Amber write the documents to sound so weird? When did this world gain hover car technology? (the female information trader with the twin dolls has a hover car out of no where and its the only 1 in the show) What exactly is the fake sky that they see, is it something that engulfs the planet with the real stars and moon outside of it, or is the sky actually changed into the fake 1 that they see, if it is something that engulfs the planet then couldnt they send a ship or probe beyond the fake sky to see the real one again? How did Tanya become a contractor? (i know i mentioned this above but it really bothered me) Why would the world end/change if Suou and Yin met? (they only said it would change/end and never explained why) --- Some of those dont need answers, but most of them do to make anything that happened in season 2 make sense
Overall i liked season 1, and the characters there, even the side characters that each pair of episodes focused on, the plot had its problems but for the most part it was fine I didnt like season 2, it made very little sense, had very little character development and the best part about it was Mao's back story which is the only part that i do like even though it wasnt nearly as fleshed out as the other main characters The OVAs were alright, they didnt really make season 2 make any more sense but they werent bad

So i finished angel beats. Went from episode 4 to 13 in one night. I really REALLY enjoyed it, and it's now one of my favorite animes. Well actually all the animes that i watched on your list are now favorites (Except magika madoka ect.. I never really gave that one a chance, maybe ill watch it now, since so far you have yet to fail me with your anime choices.).
I liked how i could not predict where this show was going
Spoiler:
Well i guessed that they would befriend Kanade, but beyond that, there was no real enemy or goal for any of the characters (Except the shadows that they fight towards the end). Even when i was at episode 12, was i like..... wait a minute there's only one episode left, THERE'S SO MUCH THAT HASN'T BEEN COVERED!!! At some point though, i guessed that the ending would be that they all get obliterated. (While im talking about that, i thought it was better in the dub that they use the word vanish instead of obliterated. When i think of obliteration, i imagine some dude exploding with blood and entrails everywhere)
The humor in the show was also very good in my opinion. I laughed out loud a couple of times.
The music in the show was also very good, i thought it had a Final Fantasyish sound to it. But the best music was the intros and the credits music. Even the rock band that plays in the show was not that bad.
I was really happy that they didn't show the past traumas of every person in the show. At some point i was expecting it to become one of those shows that has the same episode over and over again.
One thing i did like all that much was the part with the random dude in the secret computer lab pulling all the strings, maybe because i was getting tiered and missed a few words in the sub, but it all seemed really out of place i guess.
Another thing is, who was the dude that is clearly not the same age as everyone else that works in the guild. During they show they act as if the viewer is suppose to know that guy, or maybe i just read it wrong.
Basically overall A REALLY GOOD ANIME
What was the thing you mentioned in your critic that you said you didn't like about the ending?

Yep, i coulda guessed that part. It was extremely inconsistent and i ignored it because it was obviously a feel good thing added just to soften the blow of sadness. I liked the epilogue that you showed, but i feel that Otonashi got obliterated/vanished because in the ending credits everyone disapears in the order they did and he eventually does too at the end. Also if you watch the video i posted higher up of the guy in the computer lab, he mentions the original god or something waited for the person he loved in that reality. I think it's a reference to your epilogue

You're disappointed in us for liking Code Geass, but we are all disappointed in you for not liking it Give it another chance
Right i remember now, he wasnt pulling the strings though, the one pulling the strings was the guy he was talking about there, the programmer, and he wasnt really pulling the strings he just set the stage The guy in the computer room just sent shadows to attack the guild
Oh yeah, i dont think the viewer was supposed to know who he is, Yuri knew who he was because it seemed like they had a history He was the same age as the rest of them but just looked older, i didnt think too much of it because anime does that kind of thing a lot, having a character be an age that doesnt reflect their physical appearance, its usually done with girls though to have a 20 year old girl that looks like shes 14, or something similar

Spoiler:
I took being obliterated or vanishing as an allegory for moving on and either entering the real afterlife (the highschool was a type of limbo) or being reincarnated into the next life Otonashi does move on in the end, its just that it took him longer to do then the others, meaning in the alternate epilogue he couldve stayed there and eventually moved on after awhile

Also if you watch the video i posted higher up of the guy in the computer lab, he mentions the original god or something waited for the person he loved in that reality. I think it's a reference to your epilogue
Spoiler:
Since time there doesnt work like normal its possible that Otonashi is the programmer he is talking about, the problem with that is that the programer became an NPC and Otonashi moves on, so they can't be the same person unless something allowed him to move on which we have no info about and is just speculation, they couldve made a season 2 with that alternate epilogue but we will never know

I stopped at episode 3 on puella. I will probably give geass also another chance just because all the animes on your list so far are just way too amazing.

i'm glad though that they didn't make a season 2. Sequels to really good stuff always just makes you want to watch the original instead of the sequel.
On another note, i do really understand why you had hesitations between putting this on top of Death Note. I myself can't decide which i like better. I guess it's like apples and oranges.
On a final note I started watching the melancholy of hurihi suzumiya. I was planning on finishing puella, but before that i wanted to take a look at your list and see how many animes i had left to watch. When i saw this anime i just wanted to see a trailer or maybe an AMV, but all i could find was the first episode. Unfortunately i was instantly hooked.
My impressions so far, well by the fact that i was instantly hooked, you can guess that I really like it. I really enjoy the main character and his personality. I also like that he isn't like TV stupid (I don't know what to really call that, but what i mean is. When the viewer and the character get a hint about something, usually the character doesn't understand it right away even if the viewer does. So the character does purposely the wrong thing so he can understand the right thing later. Well i hope you understand....). So far i have only 3 complaints. The first isn't the shows fault, but the order of the episodes are all screwed up. I know this happens when the dub and original have two different line ups, so when you find a list of episodes sometimes their put in the wrong order and it's annoying. I did take a look at your way of watching it, but in the dub version i had, it didn't work. The first movie you wanted me to watch was episode 7 of the list i had and watching that movie at that time spoils many following episodes. That' just an example of a problem with your list and the list of dubs i have. The second is probably a problem that will go away soon, but the show teases so much about a love between the main char and haruhi and nothing ever really happens. The third is just a series of episodes or maybe it's a movie on your list. The Deja View episodes, i think it was like 4 episodes in a row that are pretty much the same episode over and over and the conclusion of it was so anti-climactic i was SOOOO DISAPOINTEDDD!!!!!
Well besides that the show is really awesome and i will prob be finishing it soon!

Maybe, but his fulfillment could also be helping others, if it was just right after Kanade then why did he take longer in the credits, it felt like that was hinting at him staying longer then the others Also the alternate epilogue takes place after everything that happened so in order for that to be there he would have to stay longer

Actually that isnt really the dubs fault, as long as the dub has the right episode name it should be fine The show has 2 different orders that you can watch it in (3 with the DVD which i didnt even mention), its really confusing Here is a list of episodes with the 3 different orders: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Melancholy_of_Haruhi_Suzumiya_episodes Just avoid reading the plot summary of each episode The order i told you was the Kyon order (more or less), which is B on that list Season 2 includes episodes from season 1, but season 2 actually starts from Endless Eight

That is Endless Eight, i mentioned to skip half of those in my post, theres 8 of those episodes And if you thought you were disappointed, thats the start of new episodes in season 2 so i was looking forward to seeing season 2 after 3 years of waiting for a season 2 and they show us 8 of basically the same episodes, no one that watched it was happy about it I had thought i downloaded the wrong episode on the 2nd episode of those 8 since it was the same as the first episode, i deleted it and downloaded it again, saw it was the same again, figured the place i got my anime from posted the wrong ep, went to a different place, downloaded it again, saw it was the same again, and had to look it up because i didnt understand why it was the same episode as the week before it I ended up watching all 8 of them just because it lasted 8 weeks since i had to wait for the episodes to air each week

Perhaps, but i guess we can never really know, because he had lived a fulfilling life according to him. So in the show his case is obviously unique.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, don't worry i skipped straight to the ends of the episodes after the second time i watched it. I can't believe they would do that, you must have really been pissed. In my opinion, when doing that kind of story with a time loop, it shouldn't be repeated more than twice or three times max. lol, well then... I assumed there were a few movies shoved into my episode list because, there were always a small series of 3-4 episodes (and in one case 8 episodes ) that seemed to be so locked together compared to the rest of the story, so i assumed that they were a movie. I mean sometimes those episodes ended in the middle of a conversation and the following episode took off right were it left off without an explanation or anything. If i were in charge of making this show, i would make sure that would never happen, because if people where to randomly catch this running on TV they would get super confused and be turned away from it instantly. And the final reason i thought it was movies is because they didn't really advance the plot in any significant way, so i thought it was movies added after the series was finished in order to please the fans.

Ya that was a good movie, but they couldn't do that because Bill Murry's character (I obviously forgot his name) was aware of the loop, but kyon only became aware of it at the last day of the loop. (If i take a step back, i'm realizing that i am seriously discussing time loops)

Damn, were you also turned away from them because of the horrible animation? I was surprised that it had the same voice actors though.
Here i am at last. I FINISHED THE ANIME. Jesus pat, your killing all my free time with your awesome animes
So here's my review When i started watching this, i was instantly hooked. The plot got more and more interesting and as the characters revealed themselves one by one i was getting really excited. All the possibilities, BATTLING ALIENS, MONSTERS OR SAVING THE FUTURE!?!?! This could only get more awesome. Well it didn't.... I mean it wasn't bad, but it became pretty much a sitcom and the characters and plot just stopped moving forward at some point. There were only a few episodes that were very captivating and the rest was alright, but nothing special. I even found myself bored a few times. It was at this point i starting thinking to myself;'' You put this ABOVE Mirai Nikkii!?''. And then i watched THE MOVIE!!!!!!! The entire show almost felt like a build up for this movie. It was so AWESOME, it had character development, plot evolution and it was all amazing. It made you look at the characters at a way you haven't before. Even if the movie was almost 3 hours, i was never bored for a second, i wanted it to last even longer. I especially like how they didn't try to make all 3 supporting characters evenly important (What i mean is when they try and make all the supporting characters have a major and even importance in the plot so all the fans will be happy), Instead they focused on the most powerful of the 3. I had goosebumps many times and i really felt sad when Kyon handed back the litterary club application form. (If you don't remember https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJnyZYn9u-8 ). And my favorite scene of the entire movie is when kyon starts arguing with himself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuCWMjFygPo .
Overall i still don't know if i would put this above Mirai Nikki, mainly because the movie carried the series a lot, but damn it was good.

If they told those 8 episodes from Yuki's perspective it couldve been better since she was aware of the loop, even though she didnt really do anything

No i didnt watch them because when i heard of them they were very short and at the time only 2 were out and they were taking a long time to come out so i ended up forgetting about them I started watching them when i made my last post and finished watching them today and they arent bad, they arent that good either, they occasionally have good/funny moments, but the story in it (what little there is) is non-cannon and effects nothing Sometimes (rarely) it goes into better (normal) animation, its weird, its like reversed from the way any other anime does their animation
I would recommend skipping them unless you are a die-hard fan of the series

Theres only 6 episodes in season 1 (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 1-6) and 5 episodes in season 2 (The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 1-5) that have a consistent plot The rest of the episodes are stuff that happens before, during, or after those episodes and are there for fun They couldve done more with it i guess, but its not your typical action anime, its more of a comedy then anything really Seren once asked me what genre this was and i had trouble telling him because its all over the place

Yeah the movie was great, if i made a top 10 anime movie list it would be on there pretty high up But that wasnt the main reason that i put it on the list though, the main reason was Kyon
If you want to keep going and read the manga the movie ends some time before volume 12, so start there I skipped to volume 14 for certain reasons so i havent read volume 12 yet, i was holding out for the next movie to show what future Kyon did, i will probably end up reading it soon though since its been 3 years without a new movie
I used to know a place that had them in english but i dont know where that is anymore, so finding it may be a pain
