I don't know what you guys are watching but the past two episodes were some of the best I've scene in both Korra and ATLA

Well if anyone is interested they started a 3rd season of The Legend of Korra.

Honestly as someone who totally hated the last 2 seasons, this season so far (3 episodes) looks pretty good, but lets see if they keep it that way

Yea this season started off pretty strong, hopefully it stays that way.

On a side note, I really enjoyed the the first two seasons.

i loved the first season and then hated the second. id still prefer the 2nd season over having amon be the villain in each so I'm not complaining too much

what's the non-spoiler premise of the third season?

Non-spoilerwise the reason i like this season is it seems to have a plot that is moving fast and it makes use of all the characters that are involved, instead of season 2 where they had too many characters doing less than nothing.

Season 3 Episode 3:

Not sure if anyone here watched this show or cares so i will give a quick no spoiler review of Korra season 3.

It was built up super great and they somehow used all their characters pretty well, despite having tons of characters. So it was a pretty damn solid season... until the finale which left me super disapointed. All the new characters feel like they didn't end up getting a full arc, some random stuff occurs out of nowhere and the season ends. It did have some great animation and action it the finale though. But overall the ending just feels like they realised they had 2 episodes left so they just paniced and decided to wrap everything up pretty badly so have a nice little crappy conclusion.

Season 4 comes out october 3rd and i will watch it. Hopefully, but doubtfully it will have a nice conclusion.

Yea I'm really excited for season 4.

Korra ended heres my review
Season 1
Season 1 was suppose to be a stand alone mini series, midway through, because of its success,  it got another season. As a mini series it was pretty solid. It had a nice new setting and a buncha somewhat interesting new characters. If it remained a stand alone mini series, i would have been satisfied, even though the ending was somewhat abrupt and full of missed opportunities.
As part of the whole series its also pretty solid, it's really unfortunate that the creators didn't know that they got another season till after it was airing, because they coulda built on it for season 2.

Season 1:

7.5/10

Season 2
Season 2 was also supposed to be the end of Korra. Season 2 suffers from having not much to build on. So basically it starts with a  buncha characters that do almost nothing and those that do stuff seems unrelated to the final plot. Like Bolin becoming a movie star, it was just annoying. Also a love triangle, which was super annoying. The villain was alright, definitely not the worst part of the season. I had to stop watching midway because i jsut couldn't handle how bad it was. I have to say though, it had a really cool two-parter in the middle of the season.

Season 2:

Season 3
So this time season 3 was green lit with a season 4! But, unfortunately it suffered from the worst season premier ever. 6 freaken episodes were leaked in spanish about a month before it was suppose to air. So Nickelodean went into panic mode and prematurely began the premiere without any advertising. I didn't even know the show was airing (and i hadn't plan on watching it because season 2 was so bad). So ratings this season were tanking pretty hard, which is pretty unfortunate because this is probably the best season of Korra. The villains were pretty awesome and they built them up in a really cool manner. I like how there was more than two sides, meaning it wasn't just team avatar vs team villains. The fight scenes were also really cool. They introduced a new character, who i thought kinda sucked, the new guy is the thief with a heart of gold character, which has been done alot... The finale was abrupt and its a shame, because they knew they were making another season. I was kind of hoping that there would be an over-arcing story since it was being continued to season 4.
Also because the ratings tanked so hard, like i mentioned before, the show was moved to online only. It was kinda disappointing. It was pretty convenient for me though, because all episodes where online HD by noon.

Season 3:

8/10

Season 4
Season 4 aired entirely online only a few months after season 3 because the whole schedule fucked up coz of the leaks. It was a very average season, it didn't really focus on Korra. I felt like bolin was the main focus this season, which isn't that bad, he is my favorite character. The final boss is pretty terrible and the new look of the air benders is laughably bad. It had its moments though. And the final scene is somewhat unexpected (Its as if they knew they weren't going to be aired on TV lol)

Season 4:

7/10

These ratings are all based on the story for the most part, but overall, Korra had some of the best animation i have ever seen in any tv show. Also the music is absolutely incredible, heres a taste https://soundcloud.com/jeremy-zuckerman/the-legend-of-korra .

Overall Thoughts
Korra is honestly a pretty descent show, i was pretty hard on it because i often compare it The last airbender, which is one of my all time favorite shows. But Korra works as a sequel, despite being plagued by so many production problems, id recommend anyone watch at least the first season and fans to keep watching.
There won't be any more shows in the avatar universe which is hard to swallow for me, it was pretty good while it lasted.
