This is one of the best movies i have ever watched. It's clearly in my top 5. You gatta watch this movie. I hope at least some of you have seen it. It didn't make much money at the box office. But it's a fucking baller movie. Rotten tomatoes rates it 82% IMDB 7.8/10 (I think it should be more)
Of course some of you won't like it it's not for everyone.
P.S DON'T WATCH THE TRAILER. THE TRAILER IS SHIT.

I didnt take your advice and watched the trailer It was amazingly bad, i actually watched it twice to let the bad sink in The best part of it was that it had that voice over guy that used to do most trailers

20 hours for 700mb?!
I went into this movie wanting to hate it It starts with a quote and the opening credit sequence made the movie feel like it was going to be incredibly pretentious It was a bit pretentious, but not overly so
I enjoyed it
But i had a problem with the ending, as i usually do
Spoiler:
The doctor knows hes an in-valid and let him through to the shuttle anyway Why put that there What purpose, other then to build false tension, did that have I guess it was to summarize the point of the movie, that you dont need to be genetically superior to be able to accomplish your dreams But it didnt need summation Movie wouldve been better without that bit
And as a side note
Spoiler:
Who designed that shower with a built in incinerator, especially one that can have the incineration function activated so easily from the inside, he mustve had it custom built, and if i was going to have a shower with built in incinerator i would make damn sure it was designed in such a way that i wouldnt need to worry about accidentally incinerating myself
I mean what if someone came over and wanted to take a shower It would be like Me: Sure, go ahead Person: Thanks *Person walks in bathroom closes door* Me: Oh yeah, i almost forgot make sure you turn the knob all the way to the left before you get in and turn it on, otherwise you'll activate the incineration function Person: What? Me *yelling through door*: I SAID, MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE KNOB ALL THE- Person: AHHHHHH NRGRGGGGGGHH FIRE AHHHHH! Me: Crap
When i first saw it, during the opening, i thought to myself, "yup, someone will surely be incinerated by that" But i wasnt expecting it to happen like it did, so i liked it

At first i thought the doc was his dad for some reason, but i think they put that there so they could put the quote

I was as good as any and better than most

or even worse would be shower sex maybe there'd be that extra thrill knowing each thrust could be your last, but i think this takes the idea of hot & cold condoms way too far

I saw this my sophomore and junior year of high school. (I read a book that related to the movie sophomore year, and then I transferred schools and read the same book junior year and watched Gattaca again... lol)
Anyhow I really enjoyed the movie, and it didn't bother my watching it twice. You always get more out of the movie the second time through.
