Anti piracy raids

damn the pirate bay for being raided!

Amaz posted this in the movies topic, but since it isnt about movies i moved it here
On the 9th, The Pirate Bay (tpb), EZTV, and the istole tracker were all taken down

The pirate bay going down literally does nothing as there are many other torrent search sites to use
Im actually not that sad to see tpb die, it was kindve sucking recently anyway, especially compared to kat or ipt

I am sad to see EZTV die though, thats where i would get older seasons of shows i havent seen yet
It still doesnt do anything to effect piracy as showrss is still up and you can get older season from any 1 of those other torrent sites, still sad though

The istole tracker going down is the worst thing
I dont really understand the plan when someone takes down something like tpb or eztv, its pretty much just a waste of time as they are basically just search engines, its like if you took down google
It would just cause everyone to use duckduckgo to find the same stuff and all the effort put into taking 1 down was entirely pointless as people move on to another search engine

Taking the trackers down is the way to do it, not the search engines, the trackers are as close to hosts as you get with torrents, and starting with the istole tracker is a good first step if the goal is to stop piracy
But even taking every tracker down wouldnt stop torrents since DHT would still work so its still kindve a waste of time to do
