So this is basically the cutest/sweetest show. it's a heartfelt drama and slice-of-life comedy that follows a 30y/o man and his adopted 6y/o daughter. despite being somewhat realistic, everything consistently ends up working out. i'd definitely recommend this show if you're looking for that disney happy feeling but want something a little more real

When 30-year-old Daikichi returns home for his grandfather's funeral he learns about the existence of Rin, his grandfather's illegitimate six-year-old daughter by an unknown mother. The girl is an embarrassment to all his relatives and is treated as an outcast. Annoyed by their attitude, Daikichi decides to take care of Rin himself, even though he is single and has no experience raising a child. As Rin becomes part of his life, Daikichi experiences the hardship of a single parent.
the art style is untraditional but good. it transitions between two styles that i noticed. one style mostly applies to non-closeup shots. idk how to describe it, i guess imagine if the background, and parts of the foreground, felt like they were hand drawn with those watercolor pencils you can see what i'm saying at parts of the OP. 38s - 60s show it a bit you can see it really well at 1:45 - 1:55 because it transitions back to standard style right after (but for the same scene)
