| HOLY CRAP, HO LI OMG. THAT SHOW IS AMAZING, AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Dear god, its just as good as Fullmetal Alchemist! MY EYES BURN FROM THE AWESOMNESSS! It was so perfectly paced, i never got really bored. Everytime it got a lil slow, THEY PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE WITH A TWIST! YES, YES IT WAS MAGICAL! I would normally say something about the massive Pizza hut product placement, because theres like a pizza from pizza hut every 2 episodes, and sometimes they even zoom in on it. But actually i don't care, because i imagine it helped with the budget, the animation was never noticeably bad. (They never use the cheap trick of putting a still image of two people fighting and just playing the sounds in the back, i fucking hate that shit)! AMAZING, simply AMAZING! I'm sorry i ever doubted you guys! FORGIVE MEEEEE Current 3 favourite anime are probably 3. Clannad 2. Code Geass 1. Fullmetal Alchemist Yes, it has sadly knocked down angel beats, which is now my number 4 | |

Is that a question? Coz if he isn't dead it would pretty much ruin everything. Although i heard me friend talk about a sequel or something (he might have ment the OVAs) where they show him alive after the end

| - Spoiler:
there was a lot of buzz when it first finished that the person handling the cart (that CC's riding) was really lelouche. there was a whole conspiracy thing to go behind it. if i remember right it went something like: lelouche "killed" the emperor with his geass all crazy so inherited his immortality. but immortality doesn't kick in right away, you have to die first and then you lose your geass and gain immortality
normally i wouldnt want the protagonist to live because itd just feel like a cheat but since the story sets the field for either option it wouldnt really bother me
he was probably talking about 1 of 2 things: - OVA 1:
for the 1yr anniversary/bday there was a OVA that had lelouche working with his school friends to solve something. but at the end of it everyone just suddenly remembers he's dead and he disappears. it was weird
or the spin off from code geass: Akito the Exiled. this story takes place between r1 and r2 and only the first 2 eps are out and translated so far. it's really well animated but the story doesn't live up to the original. theyre still pretty good though and if you're not trying to compare the two you'll enjoy em

| That OVA sounds weird as fuck. - Spoiler:
It could make sense that he became immortal because while hes being stabbed he said he passes on his Geass to Suzaku. I guess thats a good way to validate making a sequel or to keep people talking about the show after its done.

They really want to make you believe hes alive with everything they presented Personally i think he is, and i dont think it would ruin everything or feel like a cheat He probably thought he was immortal after what happened so he made a plan to take advantage of that immortality to trick everyone like he always does, and he was willing to accept his death if it turned out he was wrong about being immortal And it was the best way to test if he was immortal, if he is then everyone wins, if hes not then at least he dies in a way that changes everything for the better If you think about it like that, a plan that does multiple things and that he was willing to accept the worst outcome for the greater good, then its not ruined
And OVAs generally are weird and almost always contain fanservice, i mean just look at Nunnally in Wonderland Heres what i said about that: - Pat1487 wrote:

I liked the casting of the code geass characters into the roles of the alice in wonderland characters, they all seemed to fit really well

I especially liked C.C. as the Cheshire Cat
And the whole F.L.E.I.J.A. bit had me laughing a lot

While watching the series, the first time i heard fleaija i actually thought of food Specifically i thought of taking a filet mignon, chopping it up into the consistency of taco meat, mixing it up with shredded cheddar cheese and salsa, and using that with some soft taco shells to make a quesadilla Basically a filet mignon quesadilla, which i would call a fleaija
I didnt like how much fan service there was though There was just too much of it here
- Spoiler:
C.C.s outfit is literally a silk lingerie semi see-through top with just pink panties for the bottom, thigh-high socks, a head band with cat ears, and a cat tail At first i thought she was actually a cat with the way the tail is (theres a faction of a second where you can see her tail coming out of her ass because instead of putting a hole or something in her panties to let the tail through she decided it would be better to just pull the back of her panties all the way down to let the tail out) But shes not actually a cat because when i looked at it closer the cat ears are from the head band, which means that the tail isnt a real tail either and must be either tapped to the inside of her ass cheeks, or attached to a butt plug that is inside of her ass
Just that 1 outfit alone was fan service overload (especially with the way she wore her panties), the rest arent that bad

lol. SOMEDAY! - Spoiler:
Well, whatever happens, i think the ending was perfect. The way it closes the story and how it leaves you hinting that he might still be alive. There are good endings and there are great endings, and this one was really great.
I don't think i will watch any OVAs, coz OVAs are usually shamless milking, and from what youve said it sounds like thats exactly what they did. Also is CC the green haired chick? Coz when i watched it they called her C-2. Which i guess Cx2 is CC. This puts me on a note i didn't mention, but relates to your post. The fan service was crazy in this show. They always showed Kallin from an angle that made her ass the center-piece. Also they made that weird thing in anime where it looks like hes going to have a relationship with every female character and even Rolo at some point, which was just strange. Also Rolo is a stupid name. I kept thinking of the candy Rolo. Also i had the same opinion as you about FLEIJAs

Not all OVAs are like that, the other ova is good, the one seren mentioned Its just that OVAs have a tradition of having fanservice so they almost always include it simply because of that Accel World's OVA 1 very subtly and indirectly pokes fun at it, the set up for it is that someone is hacking and stealing the clothes and items of girl's avatars, its great But dont write off all OVAs as shameless milking - Eat_bacon_daily wrote:

Yeah, its spelt like C.C. but pronounced like C2, the subs i saw had it as CC and i thought it was weird to type C2 like that until i learned it is actually C.C., then i thought it was weird that C.C. was pronounced as C2 until V.V. came and then i understood - Eat_bacon_daily wrote:

The following is what happened right after i read this: "What thats not true, there isnt that much fan service in the show" *goes to prove bacon wrong* *immediately finds this image* "Well shit, i guess there was" The fanservice didnt bother me though, it never felt over the top or needless Like a lot of people hate panty shots like this: But to me it makes sense that you would be able to see a girls panties in certain situations, its just the nature of skirts, so as long as its not over used or blatantly done im fine with stuff like that and wouldnt consider it to be fanservice I mentioned that high school of the dead went down hill cause of fanservice in the best intros topic, it started off with panty shots that made sense (like 1 was because a zombie dragged a girl in a skirt away, which is an example of a situation where you would be able to see a girls panties due to a skirt) but later on theres an entire episode that is just a bath scene with all the main girls, and a scene with boobs that defy gravity and the laws of physics in general - Eat_bacon_daily wrote:

Lol, i actually ate the thing i was talking about some time after that post, sarah cut the filet mignon into thin strips rather then chopping it up and put red pepper in it with the shredded cheddar cheese, and had salsa on the side It was amazingly good

| In my case, i don't really like fan service, especially when its made into a center-piece of a shot for no reason, like with Kallin. I don't mind subtle fan service, and i actually like it when its used for comedic purposes. I thought it was a bit over-used in Code Geass though, like a random Kallin shower-scene or a scene of discussion in the girls locker-room/SPA area or whatever that was. (Felt like a room built for fan-service!). Anyway that just my opinion.
BTW have you seen C-2s (or however you spell it) thumb on that pic you posted. It looks like her thumb is swollen and her nail is long and sharp, its creepy, although i know how its suppose to be seen as.
On another note, i was searching for images of Lelouch on google to draw him, coz i thought the art was interesting with their long stringy bodies and super slim crazy arms. Anyway, while i was searching i realised Lelouch Lamperouge translates to english into The sketchy red lamp. IT MUST BE A CLUE MEANING HES STILL ALIVE!

I dont think the shower scene was too much, the spa thing was, but when you compare it to other bath scenes from other anime its not too bad And centering on an ass isnt that bad either, the pic i posted was just the worst example of it as part of the joke, they didnt do it too much though - Eat_bacon_daily wrote:

Lol yeah, i see it more as her thumb mutating into a pinky The artist was more focused on other areas of the scene To be fair that scene is only seen for a split second so you wouldnt be able to notice an art error like that unless you freeze the it, its possible the artist did it on purpose so that freezing it there would show some weird stuff, but i doubt that

| i hate panty shots. i think theyre the stupidest thing. if i wanted porn id be on pornhub. short of that, how could i possibly get a thrill out of seeing an animated girl's scripted slip up. i especially dont get them in romances with young characters. "yeah you go mr. creepy main character! you can win her heart!" "oh hey there, 12 y/o panties, my viewing experience wasn't complete without seeing you. i'm sure if i was the main character this would be awesome but now i gotta go to jail for a bit" i remember the fan service being really bad some of the time like you would have conversation scenes where the male character would be talking and it would have a closeup of his face and then the female character would respond with a closeup of her chest. this actually happened so much that it started its own drinking game. whenever this happens, you say "Ninpon!" and drink. - Spoiler:
im really not an alcoholic though, i swear but this actually happens in almost all anime so this makes for an excellent rule no matter what show it is. depending on the people youre playing with. most girls enjoy anime if they give it a chance, but highlighting this feature of anime immediately is generally not as funny to them as you might think it would be
i think i didnt dislike the amount of fan service in the show because it didnt usually go out of its way to create scenarios that allowed for it. and in scenarios which didnt allow it there wasnt any (usually) i will never stop hating the episode of this show where - Spoiler:
the cat steals lelouch's zero helmet during a festival and then everyone spends the entire festival tracking it down eventually involving suzaku and the rest of the student council. i dont even know what fans this was trying to appeal to but, wow, fuck it was bad. i bet people have dropped the show purely because of this ep

My stance on young characters is the same, if theirs a situation where a skirt would show panties then it should show panties Although i dont think anime should be creating situations to show 12 y/o panties, they could easily have the "camera" be in an area where you cant see up their skirt even if another character can see up their skirt and they should do that more than they do As for why they do it, its because seeing up a girls skirt isnt as creepy in japan, its more pervy than creepy, and pervy is considered to be more comedic than it is here Even anime with no fanservice will do it, the audience cant see the panties but a character will be able to, if it isnt obvious that that the character saw them he will say the color of the panties to himself when he sees them to tell the audience that he saw them to convey the joke That happens so often that i learned that "shiro" means white and that when a character randomly says a color it means they saw someones panties (sometimes its so subtle that you wont know that he saw panties at all, the first couple times that happened i was like "why did he just say white for no reason" and it wasnt until the girl reacted that i realized) I actually find it funny when they do it that way, but only when a character that isnt pervy does it - Serenity09 wrote:

Yeah, thats what i mean by blatant, when it goes out of its way to do it And I would consider that episode as more of a filler episode than fan service since it doesnt seem like it was specifically made to be appealing to fans

but how often is there actually a "good enough" situation for it. it would have to be 24/7 extreeeemely windy for panty shots to happen as often as they do in many anime. my point is that the vast majority of the time, the show creates scenarios which feature panty shots. it's not only fundamentally scripted but it's usually the highlight of the scripted scene. there shouldn't be extreme wind just because it'll flip a girls skirt you're right though, and sometimes it is either funny or makes sense. those times i get it, the rest i still think it's stupid. id even be happy with skirt-flipping being a hobby of a character, but no more of this windy day bullshit

And of course when you are adjusting something like a light-blub, above a female character, you will always, ALWAYS fall face to face on her. Then she MUST blush for a second then throw you off in a rage.

i think it started out as a metaphor -- that she left behind the person she was when she committed her life to the emperor's plan, and so her old name no longer exists in her eyes. cc's goal / "the plan" only would work if c.c. had cut all ties then she tells lelouche her name signifying that she decided to (right at that moment) not completely cast of her past in exchange for her current goals. i think her change of heart came from watching lelouche and his goals. this is seen again when she saves him in the other world (i forget it's name, i wanted to say c's world but that doesn't seem right). she wouldn't have saved him if she hadn't had any change of heart
you're right though, the way they did it made it feel like the actual name was important. i think they hid it to try and focus on what it meant but it had the opposite effect anyways
