The Survival Games

So for a little bit some of you guys have been interested in trying out a custom minecraft scenario called The Survival Games.

Rules:

Rules of The Survival Games:
Only one player can win The Survival Games.
You can not break any blocks, expect for leaves and mushrooms.
You are only allowed to place blocks you find in chests.
Your inventory must be empty before you start the game.
No player is allowed to enter the host house.
You are not allowed to break the fire in the middle.

Rules for the host of The Survival Games:
The host shall light the netherrack the first night.
The host is allowed to add any weapons or food he/she want at any time in the center chests, after the second day has passed.
The host is allowed to spawn zombies, creepers or skeletons after the second day has passed.
If a player for some reason is stuck a hole or simular, the host is allowed to tp the player out.
+whatever else we think might be legitimately fun, but you can expect these rules to be obeyed.

IF enough people are interested in playing, we'll switch to the Survival Games 2 map (which is better) but thats a big IF. we'll figure out a time to play after a few days of this poll (ill edit this post)

I think the best way to do this is to make the survival map another world on the server and when you die you go back to the normal world

Unless you want people to be able to spectate the game after they die but then they would need to be invisible and able to fly
Which could be a pain in the ass unless you have a command that can grant invisibility to a specific non-admin
And even then you would have to type the command(s) out for each person when they die

I have been watching gameplay for a round of this map and it looks pretty sick. The video below is the part one of the gameplay by the Yogscast. To be perfectly honest, these guys are kind of minecraft impaired even though their most famous videos are minecraft based. The second video below is of a guy in the same round as the yogscast that actually knows what he is doing.

Getting into a server is damn near impossible with how many people play it (a maximum of only 768 people can play at a time), but it depends on when you try to play, i tried to play on friday around 2pm and it took like 30 mins to get into a server because they were all full (i played for about 5 mins before i was killed)
Looking at it now, at this time, it looks like getting in is easier (theres only 160 people playing)
Those servers use mods to automate the whole process of the survival games

When you die you become invisible to everything, can fly and cant interact with anything
You can also click to teleport to someone to spectate them

soooooooo...what day would we do this? i need to do this pretty soon i think. i just got out of highschool and i am going to be living with my mom for the sumer.....she does not have internet. i think i will have a week left of internet after this post. after that i dont know when i will have internet. i think that i will have to pay for it, so if the costs are not right i wont have it for 3 months.

so let me know. so i can try to have internet that day.

but i think that we should do a random selection of map on a normal world. because all you have to do is watch the vids and find all of the supergood stuff and any one who has not wateched the vids will be at a dis. but if you do a random world its true survival.
