Minecraft 1.7

I believe Mojang is trying to put the update out right as I post this because I cant log into minecraft.

He decided to release 1.7 early but only including pistons and shears, no adventure update. He wanted to release these features early since they wanted to spend more time on the adventure update and wanted to get these features out. Version 1.8 will be the adventure update.

I have some awesome ideas for pistons, so im excited about those.

Thank god fences can stack. That always pissed me off trying to build something more then 1 block high with fences.

Shears are cool in the sense that you can take leaves off the trees. I dont like how they are necessary for sheep now. Its just one more tool that I have to carry around with me, wasting space in my inventory.

Looks like if you want to use tnt you need to carry around a flint and tinder. Ive never made tnt before but its just another tool to carry around to detonate the tnt.

Shears for sheep is stupid, especially since it costs 2 iron to make
Although it does balance the ability to use a bed when your just starting out to skip the night
Need to go on server and collect as much wool as possible before its updated to require shears

Where are slimes, i want to make sticky pistons but have never seen slimes on the server
Although i have 3 slimeballs in a chest somehow
I think someone put them in there
I really wish sticky pistons required gold instead of slime or something

I found some slimes in someones mine i accidentally dug into. They tend to appear very low in the map.

Its already updated, the server doesnt need to be updated for this patch. It already works on the server.

I recently blew up my first and second tnt. It really isnt that good when its set up alone near no other tnt. Im probably not making any more anytime soon.

I think using slimes for it is a good idea cause slime balls are stupid otherwise

I tried placing some leave blocks and they started disappearing like they would if there were no wood blocks left. Hopefully there will be a followup update for that.

servers been up for some time and its really buggy. That thing where i break a block and it makes a sphere and destroys blocks happened again and it messed up what i was building. Also my brick blocks have some green/purple color in them, idk if thats related, and then i saw a bunch of monsters burning for a long time.

if i tried for like 20 mins i could probably start a slime farm, slimes used to spawn in the mines of moria

They just released 1.7.3 which fixes a couple bugs. One of the bugs is the duplication bug with the pistons. But it doesnt seem that they fixed it even though they said they did. When i updated, i went to my duplicator and duplicated about 10 blocks of brick just to test the bug fix. I had no problem duplicating those blocks.
