so i watched day9 for the first time in forever. mostly because one of those cool skins caught my eye. like the zergling reskin, or the marine reskin -- but much bigger scale, a dragoon reskin. 1 min later, when a defiler cast plague on the dragoons, i figured out it wasnt just a reskinned stalker
http://starbow.wikia.com/wiki/Starbow_Wiki if you haven't heard of Starbow, it's basically a mashup between parts of sc1 and parts of sc2. it uses sc2's mechanics so no units drunk walking around the map. also unit stats are not predictable. lings are sc1 coke lings. some things are entirely new, nexus' get a 100min upgrade from the gateway that enables chrono and rift (which is like a lesser ver of the arbiter's recall) im not sure what i think about the balance and unit choices. obviously id need to play like a hundred games before i had a decent opinion (lookin at you pat), but it seems like there would be fewer practical compositions available. i imagine 8/10 late game zergs transition using defiler lurker. id also guess that dragoons and stalkers devalue each other a bit. the rift abil is super cool but it seems like toss aggro would be too strong with it. i guess delayed chrono + 100 min buy in is enough to offset it
anyway, has anyone played this / want to play? ill probably try it either tonight or tomorrow

I've heard a lot of good things about Starbow, but I've never played it. I've watched a lot of PsY playing it, and it looks a lot of fun.
Does it support 4v4?

Me and ach have played it a few times, its fun, it feels like an updated version of broodwar (much more so than normal sc2 does) since it has the old units and some old mechanics, battles are slower because units have more hp (or take less damage) so reinforcing into battles make them last longer and it feels like an actual war rather than a quick engagement
And yeah it supports 4v4
