Minecraft 1.1

So this is what was added according to the Mojang Website:

Plus many bug fixes!

Apples: They fall from tree leaves now, and i guess they made a golden apple recipe which I don't really care too much about.

Languages: The language transitions almost make minecraft feel like a finished game. There isn't anything very interesting in this part of the update except the Pirate Language, which i think is annoying and stupid.

Color transitions: Who cares

Brewing times: Never made a brewing stand before.

Spawn Eggs: This is a cool idea and the only usable item added in this patch. You can make any mob, including testificates (villagers). I don't use creative too much because I like the survival aspect of the game, but this makes it easier to find an animal or creep to test something. I guess if your making a farm with domesticated animals in creative mode, this could be a good thing.

World Type: Super flat is having some problems at the minute. The land is completely flat with the exception of random villages. The problem is that slimes spawn on this flat land because it is located three layers above bedrock. You are also able to do survival on this mode, which can be very difficult considering the only wood you can find is from houses, there are no ores, and food is limited to animals or village farms. Maybe adding the option to set the world to a certain height would help if you wanted to add underground features to you structures.

Ladders: The collision box is removed, so now you no longer get caught on them when you come at them from the side. You also can't stand on the top of them (which makes me a sad panda).

Sheep Re-gen: I would like to thank Mojang for adding this so that the sheep who won't leave the front of my base on the server may be of use to me once again.

Other items: I remember reading in one of the patch notes for a snapshot (similar to the pre-releases for the beta) of this update that they were fixing the gate collision box so that it lines up with the collision box of the fences. I noticed this problem when I added a shooting range to my base and it always bothered me.

This shouldve been in when the other weapons/tools could be enchanted
They should add different bows to, like an iron bow or diamond bow

- Golden Apple recipe
Apples shouldve fallen from trees long before this
I never understood why apples/golden apples existed since they were impossible to get by normal means

- New language translations.
I like the pirate speak, i will never use it but i like that they made it
Hopefully they had someone else working on the languages though, if not then they wasted alot of time adding pirate speak
They shouldve added the Ninja language to, since ninja's are silent all the text would be blank, it would be amazing

- Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
I liked the new lighting, it added atmosphere, this seems to try to do the same
Really they should just add craftable colored lights

- Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
It was way too long before but i never really made potions so it wasnt a problem to me
Its nice they reduced it though

This is cool, you dont need a mod to spawn mobs
But i can see it may be abused on creative servers
Filling someones house with 100s of cows or creepers

This is a good start
They should add stuff like islands, sky islands, all water, super high, and all pillars

This breaks alot of stuff, like trapdoors
You have to build a trapdoor entrance in a specific way

- Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
When did sheep stop regrowing wool?
